Roses Pop Up Card

Roses Pop Up Card
Hi friends I had so much fun making the pop up mechanism in the Galaxy Pop Up Card , I made another one with the same mechanism...this one is in a shabby chic style with flowers and lace!

Roses Pop Up Card
Since my theme was a garden I added a cute bird house [ a Marianne die cut stencilled and embossed with UTEE and layered on silver glitter foam]
Roses Pop Up Card
And one of my favorite flowers from Heartfelt Creations...all glittered up this time with sparkling leaves from Winnie and Walter In Bloom Elsa's Flora Stamp Set .
Roses Pop Up Card
Added a silver fence and some tiny butterflies.
Added ruffled lace along the borders of both the outside and the inner layers of the card...love how  lace adds such a beautiful  romantic shabby chic feel!
Roses Pop Up Card
And voila...on opening the card an accordion strip swings open to wish a Happy Birthday!
Roses Pop Up Card
I think this style of card would be lovely as a Valentine's day card too!
Roses Pop Up Card
I have used gorgeous papers from Papericious and dies galore[ you can see the huge list at the end of the post]
Roses Pop Up Card
Since the accordion panels have to fold flat I kept the embellishments to embossed and flat die cuts like the rose colored with Distress Inks  and given a subtle shimmer with Inka Gold.
Roses Pop Up Card
The lattice heart is a Winnie and Walter die and I colored the solid heart with Distress Inks  and rubbed Inka Gold on it here and there to make it shine...I only just opened up a bottle of Inka Gold and love it!!
Roses Pop Up Card
On closing ,the accordion panel folds up  inside the card and you can  mail this in the post!
Roses Pop Up Card
My favorite aunt has her birthday in July and this special Pop Up Card is soon going in the post!
Roses Pop Up Card
I hope you liked my new style of Pop Up Card ! As promised...will share the tutorial soon

  7. It is very pretty. I like the ruffles. I wanted to use ruffled lace on one of my cards but was afraid to do so as it may not look good. But now that I have seen your card I can see how beautiful it looks.

I love the big rose and the bird house.Oh my I love the butterflies especially the pink one.

Is there any matching envelope for this card? How do you make one for such 3D cards? What paper should be used for such envelopes? Is there any tutorial for that? How do you protect your card when you send it by post?

I would be grateful if you can kindly share this information.
