Vegetable Carving Swans in a Pond

Vegetable Carving Onion Swans Apple Swans

Vegetable Carving Swans in a Pond
Onion swans are easy to make. If you have white onions they look spectacular. The trick is to make incision slayer by layer and keep all the layers attached at the top.The neck of the onion swan is a spring onion. The Apple swan requires some precise cutting. Apple tends to discolor fast so I don't like using it much. The blue water in the pond is edible Jelly!
The lovely lotus/lily is made from onion and yellow food colour was applied at its center. The Lotus flower leaf is carved watermelon
The Capsicum Palm Trees have a trunk made out of drumsticks.
The Yam deer was carved free hand.I used a clove for its eyes.
The White radish Bird in the background was again cut free hand and this time I gave it a cucumber green beak!
