Punchart Animals DIY Photoframe

Punchart Animals  Photoframe
Punchart Animals
This Photoframe is my Guest DT project for "For Fun Challenges" theme Anything But a Card. Thank You Kathy for inviting me!!
This project combines 2 things I love to incorporate in crafting--Kids crafts and Recycling!
I made the photo frame by recycling an old cardboard box. Here are  links to DIY Photoframe Tutorials
Punchart Animals
One of my crafty vices is buying punches !! And when I want new ideas for a punch, I let my daughter play with the punched shapes as somehow kids are often better than grownups at thinking " out of the box " and coming up with some amazing ideas. [See the punchart Ganesha ]
My 5 year old designed all these punchart animals!
Punchart Animals
These strawberries are made from AMOS playdough- its sticky to use in the Indian climate but dries light and firm.Added some glitter glue stems and quilled leaves for our playdough strawberries
Playdough Strawberries
This Punchart Teddy is my daughter's version of Teddy dancing with  flowers. These blue quilled fringed flowers were made by recycling a magazine border. I loved my 5 year old's idea of using the crown punch as "claws"!
Punchart Animals
We used the punches shown below to make our punchart sheep.
Punchart animal
The pear punch is the head. The swirl punch was used to make the horns and the body was made from 5 scallops. We cut out flower petals to make the legs of our punchart sheep.
Punchart Animals
To add some glamour to the other wise "kiddy " project added some quilled flowers
Quilled Flowers
Photo frames are such useful items to make and keep or gift away. I hope you  liked our homemade photoframe with  playdough strawberries  and Punch art animals

  64. Very Nice. Strawberry looks so very real. It would be great if you could let me know in which of the shops the AMOS brand play dough is available in Bangalore.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Major toy shops stock Amos playdough. Most of the Reliance Stationary and Staples shops also stock it. Keep a look out for offers as it is quite expensive compared to the normal playdough.
