Felt Christmas Ornaments

Felt Christmas Ornaments
Hi friends....surprised to see a Christmas Project so early on my blog..? Well I chanced upon a gorgeous blog Scraps of Life by ScrappyMo with a Challenge to post a Christmas project and what I especially liked about the challenge was she encouraged bloggers to comment on other blogs.
Some time back there was a Challenge blog called MIM which encouraged blog comments and I loved it very much since I had made so many new blogger friends through that blog. So I was super thrilled to find a Challenge encouraging us to make blogger friends!
Felt Christmas Ornaments
I made these simple felt Christmas tree ornaments by cutting a Sizzix Ornament die in cardstock, layering the same die cut in felt on top and embellishing with foam die cuts.
I made the felt poinsettias by hot gluing "leaf " die cuts! Yes I dont have a poinsettia die and had to improvise!
Felt Christmas Ornaments
I hardly ever sew as you can see by my amateur sewing attempts on this one
I hope you liked these simple handmade Ornaments
Supplies :Sizzix Bigz Ornament Die, Spellbinders Lacy Heart, Provocraft leaf

  3. Wonder card, Sonia! I like your pretty poinsettias and the sweet ornaments too.

I am glad you liked the little encouragement I offered to promote comments on others. I may do this extra prize business again as I really want Rudolph Days to be a fun, friendly place. The bloggers who enter are so friendly and nice...well worth visiting...they almost always visit back!

Thanks for taking part in the September Rudolph Days Challenge.

  4. Hi Sonia, I've popped over from Rudolph Days to say hello. I love your poinsettias and was really pleased to see you'd made them from leaf die cuts, I'd never thought of that and I don't have a poinsettia die either so I'll try making them that way now.

  12. These are really pretty. Good thinking using the leaf die to make your poinsettia. I think you stitching is very well done. I can never seem to space the stitches evenly when I do something like that

  28. Your sewing skills look just fine to me! I love these festive ornaments, and what I love even more than the pretty look, is that you have something useful, that you probably spent time with your sweet daughter making (and making memories for both of you as well). Clever to use your leaf to make the poinsettia petals...they look just the same as if you'd used a poinsettia die! Love the way you do crafts!! And Rudolph Day is a good way to make new friends, and do you know about the Snippets Playground?(http://pixiescraftyworkshop.blogspot.com/) TFS & Hugs
