Heat Embossing and Watercoloring

Heat Embossing
You must be wondering if you landed on my blog  ...since this card is  in a style entirely different from my usual die cut laden creations!
I am challenging myself to try different styles + use craft supplies that are lying unused and unloved .
I made my card in purple to support Becca's Hop to Stop Domestic Violence Awareness campaign...I felt the global theme for the card was appropriate since Domestic Violence  is an issue not just limited to one country but the whole globe
Heat Embossing
The beautiful golden globe is a stamp I got as a freebie with a craft magazine and this is the first time I inked it and heat embossed in gold! In keeping with the  global travel theme I wanted the card to portray , I  added a gorgeous bronze compass charm I had been hoarding for ages!
Heat Embossing
Stamped and heat embossed more clocks and gears on the other corner of the card and added a splattering of gold and silver sequins. The gorgeous sun sequin is also something I had been hoarding for ages...I confess I am a hoarder crafter and find it very difficult to "use" things!... trying hard to get out of that habit!
Heat embossed card
I followed the sketch from the W& W Challenge to make this card.. though I hardly ever make cards based on sketches; this time it was fun and liberating!
I had first stamped the images on white ivory card stock but it looked too dull so later decided to create a water colored background using seedless preserve distress ink
