Easy Glitter-Stencil Card Tutorial

Xmas Tree Card
I love making Christmas Cards and especially using traditional colors and motifs! This is a simple card featuring a glittery Xmas tree made using a stencil , spray adhesive and glitter!
I was inspired by the shimmer and the beautiful tree's  in Linda's tag here !
Stencil
I taped a plastic stencil to my oval die cut and after keeping it on a plastic surface I sprayed it with E6000 Spray glue from a distance of about 10 inches. Just one or 2 squirts is enough or else you will have a liquid glue ooze all over!

Spray Adhesive
Click on the link to read a more detailed write-up about the spray adhesive I used :Spray Adhesives Projects.
Sprinkle Glitter and smear gently with your fingers to help the glitter to adhere nicely to the paper.
Stencil tutorial
Tap off the excess glitter and remove the stencil from your paper
Glittered Christmas Tree
I used a silver- white  PoppyStamps Emory Oval Frame  die over my tree  and added an organza bow to the tree and corner of my card...these are the  best I could manage...I dont have the talent to make gorgeous bows like some of my fellow crafters! I always oooh and aah over the  beautiful bows I see in your blogs my friends!
Bow
The snowflake borders were made using a Memory Box Frostyville border die....a favorite die I inevitably use in my Christmas cards! The little red heart was made using alcohol inks and featured in this post : Alcohol Inks tutorial . I also added 2 little red flowers over my sentiment which is partially hidden by the bow!
Snowflake Charm
And here is a little snowflake charm I picked from my local market...I literally squealed in delight seeing this in a small store! Paper-crafting is a budding industry in India and  sourcing craft supplies is hence challenging and in a way all the more exciting!
I hope you liked my simple festive card
Supplies : Dies : PoppyStamps Emory Oval Frame , Spellbinders Floral Oval  , Memory Box Frostyville border  , Sizzix Starts

  5. Your tree sparkles wonderfully with use of stencil, spray & glitter. I'm making some Christmas cards and have been cutting glitter cardstock so that's my glitter use for now. For bows I use a bow maker. I cannot tie a bow on my own.

  10. Gorgeous card! A great way of using a stencil and glitter. The tree looks wonderful as does your bows. I use a bow maker as the lack of sensation in my hands means they aren't good enough to tie them manually any more but lots of crafters use them. I've seen videos using forks to tie bows but yours look fab. Debra x
