Paper Dress Making

Paper Dress Making |
My daughter has her holidays now and keeping her entertained is at times challenging. Yesterday we stumbled upon this fun activity and it kept her entertained for hours!
How to Make Paper dresses for Barbie
|
Paper Dress Making |
1.Draw freehand a big dress in an A4 size paper leaving some room at the top. If your little girl feels up to it she can draw her own dresses. Mine wanted me to draw all the dress outlines and she undertook the decorating process.
2. Fold the Paper at the neck line
3.Cut out a hole at the neck of your paper dress

4.Cut out your paper dress
|
Paper Dress Making |
Here you can see my daughter cut out her Barbie's dress while our Lhasapso Snowy keeps watch!
5. Color and design the paper dress any way you fancy
|
Paper Dress Making |
My daughter doesnt have a brother or sister to fight with but my Cocker spaniel Goldy compensates for that by behaving just like a sibling by "bothering" her and trying to "help"!
|
Paper Dress Making |
The scene above looks so idyllic but you can see Goldy is lying on her Barbie's dress and in the next minute all hell broke loose with my daughter accusing him of being a "Baaad " Dog!!
|
Paper Dress Making |
Well after a hard day of helping here is Snowy [the calmer "Good " dog ] posing with Barbie in her new party dress!

And of course Goldy had to check out the fashion show too despite all the scolding he got!
Sharing this fun and simple craft idea so that other "holidays harried " moms too can try it with their princesses!
