Christmas Trees Diorama |
Dear friends Thank you so much for the wonderfully uplifting comments on my Beaded tree tutorial.I used the beaded trees to make a Christmas diorama by recycling an old cardboard box.Wrapped the box in festive papers and added a glittery Santa in a sleigh pulled by reindeer ploughing through snow!

Foam crafts
|
Made a snow laden silver fence [cut from foam and mounted on acetate] with a candy cane and a shimmery white reindeer who even has a golden bell around his neck!Created a snow laden Christmas landscape with snowtex
|
Foam crafts |
The red berries on the holly leaves strewn all over my Christmas diorama are called “manjadi kuru” in my native malayalam language.A little bit of snow really jazzed up this old Christmas bell ornament I had.

Christmas diorama |
Kept the smaller beaded tree simple and planted it in snow[
white playdough covered with snowtex!]Framed the Christmas tree with silver scrolls cut from foam

Many friends commented in my earlier post that the beaded trees must have taken time to make ..actually I was surprised that they took much less time than some cards!!

The photo above captures the shimmering magical glitter of Santa and his reindeer!

ReplyDeleteThank you so much Suman
DeleteSo very clever. A great Christmas decoration - isn't it funny that we related snow and reindeers and pines with Christmas when in real life the day is usually quite hot! Well, it is for me and I assume from where you work it is for you too. The effect of the northern hemispheres and their stories about the good St Nick I guess!
ReplyDeleteOh so true Susan ...but I love the classic snowy christmas stories!!
DeleteWhat beautiful work.

DeleteIts wonderful ..I started feeling cold seeing all the snow :D !! We never get to see real snoe here..So is very nice to see on crafts .I loved the whole Christmas Scene ..the trees, glittery santa and the bells too !
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Pooja...yeah snow is so fab to look at in crafts
DeleteDeatiled bee-utifully. I can not see myself beading because I would have them spilled everywhere since they are tiny. The other day i knocked over my eyelets and luckily most had spilled inside the bag that I had the container in. I did find some on the table under papers but who knows if I found them all. Definitely feels like Christmas here with the Centra;l TX ice & snow we got this wk. Forecast is for temps below freezing till Tues. Brrr.
