Paper Flower Tutorial- Easy Daisy

Paper Flower Tutorial
Paper Flowers
Sharing a simple paper flower tutorial. This tutorial is for the daisy in the Stationary Set posted earlier.
A few steps transform the flat punched daisy to a dimensional beautiful flower. This method can be adapted to many different punched flower shapes and not just the daisy.
How to Make a Daisy Punchcraft Flower

Punchcraft Flower Tutorial
Paper- white and red paper[ I didnt use cardstock as I find it difficult to punch thick paper]
Punches-I punched 2 daisies , 2 suns and a tiny flower[optional] as shown for each Punchcraft Daisy flower. If you dont have a punch you can still use this tutorial techniques to shape and craft hand cut flowers.
A self retaining forceps is a wonderful tool in crafting. Mine is something I bought locally and it was not very expensive.A forceps is  actually not essential as you can always use nimble fingers![I have thick stubby fingers so for me this forceps is the best tool!]
Embossing Tool [ any rounded blunt object will do!]
Embossing Mat- No need to rush out and buy one as you can always use the soft foamy side of your mouse pad
Black Sketch pen or paint
Glue
Paper Flower Tutorial
Grasp a punched daisy as shown so that it grips 2 petals at the center. You can grasp a single petal but shaping 2 petals in one go makes it so much faster[ I am always on the look out for such time saver techniques and I hope you guys like it too !]
Paper Flower Tutorial
Fold over the flower at right angles at the forceps grip and in no time you can fold and crease all the petals to make a quick punchcraft flower.
Paper Flower Tutorial
Emboss the center of the daisy  punched flower
Paper Flower Tutorial
Use the shaped flowers as such or layer the 2 daisies to make your punchcraft flower.
Paper Flower Tutorial
Layer the 2 flowers atop each other and glue with a dot of glue at the center. Make the center with contrasting color sun shape or any other shape you fancy.
Paper Flower Tutorial
A neat trick is to shade the tips of the central shape of your paper flower.
Paper Flower Tutorial
Apply a dot of glue on the center of the daisy and glue one central sun shape punchcraft flower.
Punchcraft Flower Tutorial
Glue on the 2nd sun shape and the optional tiny punched flower to make the quick and simple paper flower
Paper Flower Tutorial
This is a simple punchcraft flower yet I had to share the tutorial as its so quick to make yet so beautiful to look at. I hope my dear blogger pals liked it too!

I think your daisies are absolutely stunning with the red and black centers.
It is so nice of you to post the tutorials. I use tweezers all the time too as it is so much easier to grasp than with my fingers.
I had surgery on both hands for carpal tunnel and my fingers don't co-operate like they used to.

  30. Again I am late in posting my comments. But they are awesome. These flowers look mast and your tuts make it a child's play actually. I tried the balloon flower tutorial you shared, but since I had no balloon punch with me, I drew a Hearts template on my own and came up with a flower on a the same lines. Will share the pic with you. Its good but not as good as yours..
Thanks again Sonia... You are awesome...
