The experiment is my baby steps into coloring stamps! The little kitten with flowers is a clear stamp from Crafty Sentiments I had won way back in 2011[see post] but only now worked up the courage to showcase in a card!

Adorable kitty, and you coloured her so well! Love the stencil paste added to the beautiful paper and the shape of your card! Your fablous flowers always make me blowing up... they are wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI like all the colours mediums, but for stamps I prefer alcohol markers, they are more easy for me, because they give me more control. I would like try watercolouring with distress inks, too, but I think it's more difficult.
Hugs
Doesn't look like to me you need any practice at all on your coloring. It's beautiful and so is this gorgeous card!
ReplyDeleteI usually use Copics or colored pencils for my coloring. I'm terrible with watercolors and never can get it to look good.

Cute image and love the flowers. Gorgeous card. Hugs, Carol S.xx
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful spring card! I love the cat and your flowers are gorgeous! Love that teapot charm! Thanks for playing along with us at DL.ART Challenges!
ReplyDeleteYour colouring is lovely and kitty looks perfectly at home amongst your gorgeous handmade flowers. I'm not a natural with colouring. I find it so hard to work out light source and where it will be casting shadows. If I do colour I like Promarkers as they have a nice bullet nib one end. I much prefer to work with water colours and love using the Marvy Le PLume II water based ink pens. Again they have a very, very fine nib perfect for drawing in the outlines and then a lovely soft paint brush shape the other end. You will find the right medium for yourself through trial and error. Hugs Mrs A.

You certainly have made some wonderful creations using that die. Especially like the flowers. Your flowers remind me of the wonderful flowers we have at the plant nursery I'm working part-time at.

ReplyDeleteHi Sonia
ReplyDeleteYour card is beautiful! Your colouring is so pretty and I think you have done a marvelous job of finding the light and shadow that is not something that \i am very good at. i struggle with colouring i used to use copics but have got into coloured pencil crayons lately. Have even coloured with chalk!
Your flowers are so amazing, So many different types and all so beautiful.
Sonia this is stunning! You shouldn't be nervous of colouring hun because the kitten looks great. I do understand though, my colouring is not always as good as it should be and it takes me quite a bit of time these days as I struggling not to just blob on the colour but include light and shade too lol! You would never guess that your flowers are home made as they look better than WOC flowers, I own quite a few of them so I know. Thank you so much for the lovely comment on my crackled heart, it means a lot xx
