Broken Clocks make lovely frames for art and craft creations and I have recycled this old unattractive clock to serve as a frame for this quilled and punch craft creation.

To recycle a clock: Open up the screws , pull out the background paper and remove the clock work mechanism.

I lined the clock with this gorgeous blue paper which was a wrapping paper. Added some quilled bells and eccentric coils.

I always ponder several times before I buy a craft supply or tool - sometimes being almost miserly !Well when I saw this pear punch I thought of the uses-- How many pears can I use in card making! Well it would get pretty boring if I made only pears! Punch craft Dove made using the pear punch and the scallop punch.

You can make a 2 dimensional dove by simply aligning the shapes or you can be more adventurous and make a 3 D dove like I did in this project.
To make the tail of the Dove: Take a scallop and fold at an angle as shown. Stick it to the back side of the wide part of your pear as shown.

To make the wings of your dove: Take a folded scallop and cut at an angle as shown

Apply glue on one of the folds and stick on the wide part of your pear body as shown. You need not snip off the other fold.

Add a cut scallop for the
top wing and you are done. You can layer scallops on top of each other for a more fuller feathery appearance.

Frame: A recycled broken clock
Blue background paper: This was a gift wrap paper used to wrap a birthday present my hubby gave me- My hubby commented that I was more excited seeing the wrapping paper than the actual present!
Doves: Punched out from scraps of photo paper left over from other projects
Fence: Hand carved from thermocol trays using a Craft knife
