Graphic 45 Gift Box

Graphic 45 Gift Box
Hi friends, it's very ,very hot in Bangalore right now and I have not been crafting or blogging as my craft room with my computer is on the top floor of our house and it's literally a furnace there !!
But I had to make a Christmas themed project for my DT post at the Rudolph Days Challenge and so here I am burning the midnight oil [because it's slightly cooler at night]!!
Graphic 45 Time to Flourish
My crafty mojo has been near absent and to try and rectify it I went craft shopping and picked up my first Graphic 45 paper packs!! Woo Hooo am I in love or what!!!
Chocolate Box
I altered this  box [ which housed chocolates gifted to us  by a kind soul!] with my first Graphic 45 paper and added lots of my favorite elements including snow[ using whipped spackle ], cute birds, a chipboard candle stick and chipboard giftbox !

Graphic 45 Gift Box
Added a gorgeous fabric flower trim [gifted to me by my crafter friend Remya] around the box decorated with cute penguins from the Debbie Mumm Harvest and Holiday paper stack. Loved adding a metal clasp to the box and tiny snow laden ribbon roses.
Graphic 45 Gift Box
I am in love with the Spellbinders Magnolia die and keep adding these handmade Magnolias to all my projects these days!!

Isn't the sparkle just awesome on this festive project? [achieved by spraying with E6000 spray glue and dusting Dress my Craft sparkling dust]

The "Deck the Halls" is an additional element from Graphic 45 and propped up on foam tape and dressed up with a gorgeous resin crown!
Christmas Box
And now comes my absolute favorite part of this project...the glittering sparkling Cookie Cutter tree cut from foam and shimmering white paper using a gorgeous Poppy Stamps die gifted to me by the super generous Maureen the host of our Rudolph Days Challenge!
Poppy Stamps Cookie Cutter Tree
On opening the box..at first it looks like a regular box with handmade goodness inside!
Shaped Box
I made some simple tags using Graphic 45 and Debbie Mumm papers and the Poppy Stamps Pinpoint Main Street Tags die[ my favorite die for tags!]
Shaped Box with Tags
And hehe there are more magnolias and some gorgeous burlap sticker elements!
Shaped Box with Tags
On unlatching the clasp on the box....voila...the box swings open into a 3 tiered gift box! The box is sturdy enough to hold tags, decorative chipboard elements and chocolates!!

I had so much fun altering this box and I think it was just right to get my mojo back! When I am feeling more clever...I will whip up a Tutorial for you!!What do you say my friends....?

Stamped Festive Tag

Poinsettia Tag
Hi friends sharing a simple tag I made using a gorgeous Winnie and Walter stamp set I had won during World Card Making Day Contest. I die cut a tag and stamped tiny pine leaves from the Winnie and Walter In Bloom Elsa's Flora set  in 2 shades of green using Memento ink pads.
Distressed the edges using Artistry inkpads [you can read about  Artistry ink pads here : Artistry Ink pads Review] .
Heat Embossed Poinsettia
The gorgeous Poinsettia and leaves are from the same set and I heat embossed them in gold and colored it with Akashiya Sai watercolor brush pens and later added them to the tag after fussy cutting .
Heat Embossed Pinecone
The tiny pinecone which is also from the same stamp set was heat embossed in gold and colored with Distress Inks .I added Poppy Stamps pine leaves  cut in glitter foam to my  Pine cone which I had fussy cut and shaped with an embossing tool to make it convex and more dimensional.
Its such a simple looking tag but can you believe I must have worked on it for more than an hour and I thoroughly enjoyed myself!

Stamped Poinsettia

Poinsettia Tag
Hi friends I never knew decorating a tiny piece of paper would give so much joy! If you haven't tried making a tag...do give it a go...its fun , its quick and soooo satisfying!
I stamped , heat embossed , colored and fussy cut the Winnie and Walter Poinsettia and its leaves and added them to a snowflake embossed tag. I got the vibrant colors by using the Akashiya Sai watercolor brush pen set my friend and craft shop owner Priya had gifted me when I had visited her a few days back. I added tiny golden glitter balls to the center of the poinsettia.
The Merry Christmas is a stamp I won in a giveaway from Lulupu when my friend Jaya tagged me on facebook[ It is so heartwarming when crafty friends think of me and winning such goodies from time to time adds to the charm of craft blogging]

Chipboard Ornament Tag

Chipboard Ornament Tag
Hi friends, surprised to see so many tags from me...well only this year I discovered they are so fun and easy to make!! The star of this tag is chipboard! The lovely ornaments are chipboard embellishments I had picked up from a local supermarket quite some time back and hoarded for years!

Chipboard and Glitter Foam
I love using foam and hence love dies which can cut foam easily .The pine leaves were cut with my recently purchased Poppy Stamps pine bough die ! I used preglittered foam sheets to die cut my pines and deer....they are so neat to add the glitter element to a festive project as there is hardly any loose glitter!
Supplies : Dies : Poppy Stamps Pinpoint Main Street Tags, Poppy Stamps Pine Boughs , Memory box Leaping Deer

Hi friends sharing a tag with a glitter foam poinsettia and a glittery ornament with "wish" die cut within it [ using a movers and shapers die] .My festive tag has an embossed snowflake design and a glittery snowflake border. The lacy Poppy Stamps die cut is for a feminine touch!
Glitter foam snowflake border
Made the  poinsettia by hot gluing 5 leaf die cuts and adding a green glittery bead to the center. The hot green holly leaves are also glitter foam die cuts. There is also a little angel playing the flute but I couldn't capture him very clearly!

Dangling Hearts Tag

Dangling Hearts Tag
Hi friends sharing a festive tag in traditional Christmas colors. I started with a white card stock and stencilled a beautiful Christmas tree using a 2 shades of Distress Inks  . Then went to work on it with different shades of pink - red Distress Inks and ended up with a bright vibrant red background !
Plastic Stencil
I dont have any branded stencils so used a thin plastic stencil I had picked up from the market several years back. The stencil itself is not of very good quality and I doubt it will last long but it does have a beautiful design!
Stencil Art
I ran the stencilled card through a Sizzix embossing folder and added a snowflake border and glittery foam trees .
Dangling Beads
I am rather happy with the little heart- pearl danglers I added to the lower part of my tag!The red rose is a foam rose and the leaves are stamped and die cut using a favorite Heartfelt creations Botanical Wings stamp- die cut set.

Fairy Christmas Tag!

Fairy Christmas Tag
Hi friends I am thoroughly enjoying making tags....it is so much fun to embellish a tiny piece of paper! I used a Christmas tree foam stamp to stamp a tree on a musical notes pattern paper and heat embossed using Ranger's Holographic embossing powder...this powder is just wow for festive projects...once embossed it literally shines in different colors depending on how the light is falling on it!
Heat Embossed Flowers
Added my favorite stamped heat embossed parchment flowers and some silver Marianne leaves. Experimented for the first time using a snow marker and ooh it was fun to see the snow puff up!
Handmade Resin Fairy
And that is my handmade resin fairy you see popping up every now and then in my projects! She is going to put the crystal ball [ a crystal bead I added to her hand!] atop the tree!
Beaded Border
And yes I couldnt resist adding a sparkly snowflake border! Also proud of the beaded trim with the crystal beads behind them! It is crazily tough to get equal spacing with beads!!I fuzzy cut 2 butterflies from a DCWV pattern paper and layered them with foam dots to make a 3 D glittery butterfly.

I hope you liked my fairy/angel  tag!
