Tulips Card |
One of my crafty vices is I find it quite difficult to resist a sale and sometimes end up buying something not because I love it but just because it's on sale! Do you do that too?
I had bought the
Spellbinders Tulips Border die quite some time back during a sale and never used it till now!I had thought this was one of those"waste" purchases but I do like how it has turned out with the inlaid die cutting technique....what do you say my friends?

I love to really stretch my dies and use them in "out of the box ways" here I used the
Memory Box Splash border die [also seen in the
Dolphin card] to form a hedge to add the green tulip! Earlier I had used the same die to form the handle of a coffee cup in this card :
Coffee Card. Love how versatile some dies are!!

Yes, I'm guilty of buying things simply because they are on sale. I've been trying to avoid buying anything new until I use up things I already have but I'm not doing so well with that...lol
ReplyDeleteYour card is very pretty
What a fabulous card, I love the design. xx
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful Sonia!! I love the delicate softness with the tad of glimmer :)
ReplyDeleteI love the inlaid technique and the blue glittered pieces are fun. :-)
ReplyDeleteHi Dr Sonia! This card turned out so sweet and pretty :) Well, I do buy thing son sale, but mostly when I need them, like if I search something particularly and it happens to be on sale, I will buy it :))hehe
ReplyDeleteI have a question: how to use inks? I was sent one ink pad by Itsybitsy accidentally. Versa Color if I remember correctly... but I have no idea how to use it... please tell me how :)))
Versacolor is a lovely ink pad....the best thing is not only can you use it on paper but also on fabric. Its easier to get creative with an ink pad if you have stamps
DeleteThis is just so lovely! The tulip border looks wonderful especially with the gorgeous glittery flowers. Your use of the splash border die has turned out beautifully. I think your bargain purchase was definitely a bargain! Debra x
