Money Holder

Money Holder
Hi friends...sharing a money plus chocolate holder in  a 3 panel design made using Crealies  tag dies

It opens up to reveal a slot on the  left side inside panel where you can insert a gift card or a tag with a personal messageThe 2nd flap opens to reveal the 3 panel spread out with slot of money and a separate place to add some yummy chocolates in the  center.

The right hand inside panel has a card which flips up and you can write your wishes inside it.
It all closes back up. You can use magnets to help it stay closed or go the  old fashioned easy way and use belly bands or ribbons.

I made the  flowers using Crealies  dies and thin foam and literally had fun putting in foliage and pollen , bead and glitter!

Decoupaged Kitchen Set

Hi friends...my kitchen has cupboards with red and white flowers and so when I saw tissue papers with a poppy design...I just had to decoupage poppies to make a home decor set for my kitchen.

Here is how I made them...the  base is made from MDF which I picked up from a local craft store. Painted it with gesso and white acrylic paint and decoupaged the  poppies using Mod Podge.

The white are looked too bare...I didnt want to do stencilling but thought it could be cool to add little tendrils using Crealies  stamps!

I used Crealies  clear stamps and archival ink to stamp on to the  decoupaged surfaces.
Tip : Clear stamps are easier to stamp on curved surfaces than rubber stamps and if the  stamp is tiny you can mount the  stamp on your finger to stamp!

The ink is smudged in some areas but I left it as such as I think it adds to the  effect!

Decoupaging the  Utility stand was more tricky as I decoupaged flowers on the  inside too!!

The tissue box turned out the  most beautiful item in the  set.
This set is now proudly laid out in my kitchen! Hehe I am bragging today am I not!! But jokes apart...how do you think it looks?

Here is the  Crealies  stamp I used : Crealies  Bits and Pieces No.147

Handmade Floral Key Holder

Decoupage and Handmade Flowers

Hi friends sharing a project I made for our home....a Key holder in the  shape of a house with a decoupaged background and lots of handmade flowers. This project was given a generous dusting of glitter and varnished so that the  glitter  stayed put!

The flowers were made with Crealies  dies and to my surprise they matched the  daffodils in the  background perfectly!

Accordion Tag Albums in a Box

Accordion Tag Albums in a Box
Hi friends...I love making 3 D projects but often they take a lot of time. This project in contrast was a breeze to put together once I designed it!
Accordion Tag Albums in a Box
It looks like a tall rectangular box with a lid
Accordion Tag Albums in a Box
Once you remove the   lid, it opens out into a multi fold 5 panel spread out.
Accordion Tag Albums in a Box
There are 2 pockets which hold 2 accordion mini books/ albums.
Accordion Tag Albums
The tags were die cut using Crealies  dies...they are pretty big in size! I gave a backing of foam for the  front and back cover of each accordion album to make it sturdy.
Accordion Tag Albums
Each Tag album  is pretty simplistic in design but opens out into a beautiful accordion! You can add pockets, envelopes and jazz each page more with flowers and lace according to your taste!
Accordion Tag Albums
You can add recipes, to do lists, notes, birthdays and photos inside these large accordion album pages. Here is the  other side of the  accordion album

And it all closes up snugly into a box design!

I used Crealies dies exclusively for this project.

Teachers Day Gifts - Decoupaged Key Holders

Decoupaged Key Holders
Hi friends, every year my daughter and I make Teacher's day gifts for my daughter's teachers. Over the  years we have gifted handmade photo-frames, pen-stands, tea light holders, note pad holders, post it note holders etc.
This year I was short on time and ideas seemed to elude me! And we had to make 14 gifts so we chose a simple project - decoupaged Key Holders.
Decoupaged Key Holders
They were simple but turned out beautiful . It was time consuming but relaxing too to churn out these cute House shaped key holders!! And 2 pairs of hands are definitely faster as my kiddo helped in all the  painting and coating!
Teachers Day Gifts
The beautiful houses got several layers of Mod Podge and 2 final coats of a sealer so that they can even be wiped with a wet cloth

I first debated making handmade flowers to add to the  design but finally decided that  " less is more"   is better for a functional project!
Teachers Day Gifts
My daughter gifted them to her Teachers and yes I think the  teacher's loved them!

Decoupaged Tissue Box

Decoupaged Tissue Box
Hi friends sharing a simple project I made for my kitchen- a decoupaged tissue box.
Decoupaged Tissue Box
I used gorgeous papers from Graphic 45 "Time to Flourish". Gave 2 top coats of Mod Podge and 2 coats of varnish so that the box can handle even a little bit of liquid spillage!
Decoupaged Tissue Box
The papers are so pretty that the box needed no further embellishing except a simple ribbon around it!

I know you are used to seeing really elaborate projects from me but  sometimes a functional project needs to be kept real simple isnt it!
