Childrens Painting
Like every mom I do feel so proud when my little daughter shines! Recently she had a competition in school organized by "Global Art".The kids were given a a black and white picture and asked to color it using media of their choice.I suggested sketch pens as they would be easier to use at her age but my little one chose poster color paints
Medal Winner!
She was quite happy with her painting initially but later confessed to me that her friend Gayatri's was much better as she had drawn mangoes on the tree! When the results were declared both Gayatri and my little Prisha had won medals. She was so ecstatic!
Crayon Art
They also had an in school art exhibition and my Prisha  was so thrilled her art teacher had chosen to exhibit 2 of her crayon art works though she confided in me..I dont know why sir likes these 2. Ha Ha I must say I agreed with her  as I cant fathom the beauty of abstract art myself!

    She has used the posters colours beautifully!! Lovely imagination and colour sense...
    The shading done with crayons is also amazing and neat!! i say this coz its rare for a kid her age to have neat colouring.... Congrats ma'am to both u and ur daughter!!

    OMG! Her painting skills are impeccable! Believe me when i say I cant paint the way she did. So neat and colour coordination is great! It certainly doesnt look like a painting by a kid. Congratulate little Prisha on my behalf.. I am so happy for both Mama and kiddo :)

    Her work with poster colours is really wonderful!!! her sense of colours is also good..
    With crayons she has done nice shading and is amazingly neat!!! i say this cz its rare that a kid her age is neat with crayons...let alone creative....

    Congrats to little Prisha :) In Tamil, we have a saying that means if a mother goes till 8th feet, the child will go till the 16th :) I guess it is very true in your case :) You are an awesome crafter.. and I think by the time she grows up, she'll be even better :)

      Thank you Berina. When I was small I had aspirations to be an artist but having high achiever academic parents meant all talent was suppressed..I want to let my kiddo's talents bloom!

    Prisha does excellent colouring. I love that scene and I also like the abstract art - the colours are so well thought out. The mountains and tall buildings look awesome. I can see shading there... wonderful.

    Congrats to your daughter. Having a daughter that is an artist & studying Art Animation in college I like when I see her creativity. Last wk a couple students at her college created snow sculptures of what the Easter Island statue looks like. I have learned to appreciate all kinds of art.
