Paper Basket |
This easy to make paper basket is my Guest DT project for Itsy Bitsy.
At the outset itself let me confess I am not good at origami..I cannot even make the common origami paper aeroplanes !
At the outset itself let me confess I am not good at origami..I cannot even make the common origami paper aeroplanes !
But I was so fascinated when I saw this accordion style Paper Basket on Pinterest that I overcame 2 pet peeves [which are 1.I dont have the patience for You tube videos and 2. I am not skilled at origami]to make this paper folded basket.
Paper Basket |
I used 5 squares of 6 x 6 inch double sided pattern paper to make this 3 compartment paper basket. Without the handle ,the charm of this paper basket is that it folds flat in an accordion style!

Like the basket's dimension, pastel colors & embellishing with the beads & flowers.

ReplyDeleteHello doc. . .
ReplyDeleteYour creations are jus wonderful. . And very useful for starters like me. .
Can i ask u if uve idea on how to make flowers from wood shavings.. If so plz help me out doc...
Thank you Hema. I recently made flowers from sola wood if that is what you mean. Will share a tutorial on the same soon. Blogging is taking a backseat these days as my daughter is home and also busy professionally
DeleteGr8 that ur able to manage all these inspite of ur busy schedule...
DeleteWould be happy if you could share the tutorial
I actually came through roses made from Birch wood which were lovely
Have u come across them doc..
Hema will take a few weeks for the sola wood tutorial as not able to craft or blog much these days. I googled up the Birch wood flowers. I dont know where Birch wood is available in India but the flowers look simple to make..I guess a bit of hot glue from the glue gun should do the trick.
DeleteNo prob doctor... Pls take ur time
DeleteI guess those kinda roses can be made with any kind of wood shavings...
But how do v have to shape the petals in wood
Can v use the balloon punch to make the petal??
Hema...you are a godsend..I tried making roses from sola wood today morning and guess what it worked!! I was so excited. Will do a full post soon...and no I didnt use any punches to make the sola wood flowers just scissors and glue!!
DeleteSo happy with ur comment doc..("godsend":-)..)
