Heat Embossed Card |
Hi friends surprised to see a simple card from me?! Well I kept it simple to demonstrate how it was created!
|
Red Tacky Tape |
As part of my DT work for Crafters Corner , I was sent some super sticky
Red Tacky Tape [ a double sided adhesive tape much stronger than the regular adhesive tape] which was purported to be
heat resistant too in addition to all its super stickiness!
To test it out , I started with a plain white card and here is how you can heat emboss without an embossing ink pad!
|
Heat Embossing Tutorial |
Add a band of adhesive tape [shown in red with its plastic lining on] on the card.
|
Heat Embossing Tutorial |
Peel off the red plastic lining to reveal the clear adhesive layer underneath
|
Heat Embossing Tutorial |
Pour your embossing powder. I used Ranger's super fine gold embossing powder.
|
Heat Embossing Tutorial |
Tap off the excess powder.
|
Heat Embossing Tutorial |
Heat with your embossing heat gun[I used the popular Ranger Heat gun] and dont you just love than band of embossed gold!!
|
Heat Embossing Tutorial |
Heat embossed a Joy crafts die cut with the same embossing powder [ with help of Versamark watermark pad]
|
Heat Embossed Card |
I hope you liked this super simple way to heat emboss on your creations!

I didn't realize you could heat-emboss directly on that red tape...at least not so well! Definitely will have to try this technique. I believe they also sell sheets of it, which would be fun for punches/die cuts! Hope you are well. Best, CG
