Floral Window Card |
Hi friends ,Thank you so much for the wonderful comments you left on my
DIY Pen Stands posts. I have more Pen Stands to share but just for a variation sharing a special
floral window card I made for a friend.
|
Floral Window Card |
I had picked up the Sizzix Window and Pediments dies during a sale a couple of months back but got time to use them only now. Layered several window die cuts using foam tape to make a "3 D" window and mounted it on
brick embossed brown chart paper.
|
Handmade Paper flowers |
Most window cards have flowers in the window box but since my handmade flowers are rather big I placed them on the window frame!
|
Heat embossed Parchment Butterfly |
This Hero Arts Stamp - Sizzix die butterfly is the only Butterfly stamp set I own and that is why you keep seeing it often. This butterfly was stamped and heat embossed on parchment paper and colored on the reverse to give a translucent look.
|
Handmade Paper Flower |
The flowers are the same handmade
stamped- die cut Heartfelt creations flowers you saw in the
garden themed Pen Stand I had made for my daughter's teacher.
|
Handmade Paper Flower |
I love adding different kinds of
greenery to my projects and I used a variety of dies and punches in this card!
|
Inside of Card with Memory Box die cuts |
The inside of the window card has a simple scene with leafy branches , tiny flowers and embossed clouds! [ all made with Memory Box die cuts ]

Monica though I most use handmade flowers those tiny flowers looked so good in the online craft shop 's picture..I was disappointed in their size and quantity however...I think I will stick to making my own flowers!

ReplyDeleteSuper pretty! and I love every detail of work.
ReplyDeleteI always love to make window card! This is so gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteOh wow,stunning card Sonia.
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty card this is. Even the inside is pretty. Your butterfly reminds me of one I saw on another blog recently. They cut theirs out of recycled clear plastic packaging then used a heat tool to bend and shape the wings.
ReplyDeleteI should try that technique Ann
DeleteFabulous card!
ReplyDeleteThese flowers are very beautiful!
Hugs!
Such a cute creation, love the details inside the card and you are always the best in flowers thats what i admire always!
ReplyDeleteThe embossed brick is so appropriate with the floral wallpaper inside the window. Here in Canada brick houses were popular and so was floral wallpaper. Scented flowers that attracted butterflies were plenteous is flower gardens. I really feel like I have had a lovely walk down memory lane. Thank you Dr Sonia so much for taking time to post your very creative art with us this week at Word Art Wednesday in our 200th Celebration Week’ challenge!
ReplyDeleteBlessings and Hugs, Carole
So gorgeous! LOVING that window and the flowers!!! And regarding the eyes on the Minion cards on my blog today, they sell them in packages at Michaels and Jo-Ann's over here -- I have had to buy several different sizes as I have also made bookmarks for the party (party favors for the guests), a Minion banner to hang and cupcake toppers!! :)
ReplyDeleteLove the window die cut and the flowers and the butterfly. Your little curtains in the window are just too cute! Always nice to decorate the inside of the card as well.
