Punchcraft and Quilling Flowers
Punchcraft and Quilling |
I love quilling but dont get as much time for it as I would like! The only way I can make a quilling creation is by quilling bits and pieces over sometimes months and when I have accumulated enough I throw in what all I have to make my quilling project !
And since I often dont conceptualize a quilled project while I quill I have all sorts of quilled shapes such as eccentric coils, tight coils, bell flowers and my favorite looped quilling in this Quilled project.
Quilled flowers |
And as always sharing a recycling tip: Keep an eye out for beautiful borders in magazines - you can cut them out and preserve to use in crafting.I used some pretty magazine borders to make these fringed flowers.
Fringed flowers |
A 6 petal flower punch was used to make these punchcraft roses.
Punchcraft roses |
The pink rolled roses are made from circles of felt cut in a spiral and rolled. In punch craft, roses are my favorite paper flowers I used this Paper Rose tutorial to make this yellow punchcraft flower.
Punchcraft flowers |
Here is the side view to show the dimensional nature of the Paper flower vase.I got some gorgeous shiny 3 D reflective paper [from blogger pal Jovi's shop] and used it to make this 3 dimensional Paper flower vase.
Paper Flower Vase |
I designed the " Home Sweet Home " in Microsoft office. Since this is a New Year/ New House gift I plan to frame it.I haven't yet decided whether I should keep the "Home Sweet Home" within the blue or frame it as an outer border for the quilling work.
Quilled Flowers |
Edited: This project won Top 3 at Incy Wincy and was featured on Unstampabelles and also won the Design team favorite once again at Unstampabelles

Oh and thanks for stopping by my blog and giving me some very sound medical advice about the nasal spray. Nope, no hypertension here, thankfully...and I'm over the worst of the cold now...only used the spray about 4 days and only twice a day at that. I read your response to my husband and we just both marveled at how you were able to communicate with me from halfway around the world.
You rock, Sonia!
:)
Dear Susan[tensgal] you are welcome--many nasal sprays have quite a few side effects so you have to use with caution!
ReplyDeleteSonia, Thanks for dropping by my site and for your kind words about the Kirigami pop-up card. I actually found the website through your blog page, so thanks for the link. ReplyDeleteHello Sonia,
ReplyDeleteFirstly, let me wish you a most wonderful year ahead. It's hard to believe that here we are in 2012 after all the misfortunes around the world last year!
How beautiful your flowers are. You have such a marvellous talent to be able to produce so many variations that are both intricate and colourful and yet are recognisable too. To be so patient as to produce card magic - you are all but a magician, Sonia! I especially like both the roses and the bells which I have to say are my favourites but they look even better because of the variety of the mix that you have presented.
Well once again - a Very Happy New Year to you and your family, Sonia.
