Shaker cards are such fun interactive cards and relatively simple to make! The very first card I shared on this blog at a time when I had no idea about die cutting , stamping , embossing and all our sophisticated paper crafting techniques is this shaker card made for my daughter's 3 yr old friend! Do have a peep at it ...I am curious to know what you think of it!
Fast forward 5 yrs down the lane and here is a card created by stamping and heat embossing a beautiful background stamp[ gifted to me by Shalini Mittal of Crafters Corner] and inking it with Distress inks.Made the "Heart Shaker" using a Nellie Snellen die and added a lacy Poppy Stamps swirly border die cut on it before adding the acetate/transparency.Here is the tutorial link to how to make a Shaker Card.Porcelain embellishment tutorial ]
|Heat embossed flowers|
The flowers and leaves were made by stamping and heat embossing the Heartfelt creations sun kissed fleur on vellum and die cutting it with the matching die set.Inked the flower centers with the same distress inks used on the heat embossed background .
Added a favorite Sue wilson lacy bow topped with a pearly flower. The pearl sprays are handmade and the final touch is a little bit of netting over the floral bloom!
