3 D Pop Up Christmas Card

3 D Pop Up Christmas Card
Hi crafters...I hope you are all geared up for the festive season! I am sharing a fun adorable card made with Crealies Cardzz dies...these are my favorite Crealies dies as they are unique and really huge...you can make standalone cards and 3 D projects using them!
Sharing a 3 D pop up card which folds completely flat for mailing.
3 D Pop Up Christmas Card
The Xmas tree folds flat and becomes  3 dimensional when you pull on the sled . The sled is made of 2 die cut pieces joined by pop up tabs on which I added the penguin family [fussy cut from a pattern paper]. The tree is attached to the pop up tab on the sled and that is how it becomes dimensional on pulling the  sled.
I dressed up the  sled with Crealies poinsettias and added cute candlesticks [with the  candle and flame glittered up] on the  Xmas tree.

Explosion Pop Up Card

Explosion Pop Up Card
Hi friends...sharing a fun Pop Up Card perfect for the  festive season as it folds flat for mailing and packs a punch when you open it!
Explosion Pop Up Card
The folds are origami folds...tricky to get right the  first time you try it [ I followed a tutorial from Mixed Up Crafts to make it]!
Explosion Pop Up Card
I die cut cute little presents from metallic paper to make the  present. I love the  Presents die set from Crealies  and I think you can adapt the  same card design to make a cute birthday card.
Explosion Pop Up Card
I added a Merry Christmas to the  lower flap of the  card. I created my own pop up mechanism in the  center using 3 strips of card stock Here are the  Measurements and score guides
Score all strips on the  long side :
Strip A 3 x 4 inches : Score at 1/2, 2 3/4 and 3 1/2
Strip B 2 1/4 x 3 1/4 inches  : Score at 1/2, 2, and 2 3/4
Strip C 1 1/2 x 2 1/2 inches : Score at 1/2, 1 1/4 and 2
Explosion Pop Up Card
Mountain fold all the  strips at the  scorelines as shown

Pop Up Card
Strip A will go at the  bottom followed by Strip B and then Strip C. These measurements are just guidelines. You can fashion your pop up to fit the  theme and size of your central pop up.

3 D Christmas Card

Christmas Box Card

Hi friends I have a fun 3 D card to share. It is an interactive Tunnel/Aperture  card with a sweet snowman in a snowy landscape. It was made with new  Christmas themed dies from Crealies. The cute snowman peeps out from behind the  hillocks of snow!
3 D Christmas Card
Making the  snowman was fun ...mixing and matching the  parts in different colors and I think my snowman has a really funny nose as I placed his nose way too high on his face but  he turned out looking super adorable nevertheless!!!
3 D Christmas Card
I just love the  lamp post...again made with new Crealies  dies. It is such a delicate design but cuts like butter!

And in this last picture you can see how it looks from above with all the  layers. The best thing about this dimensional card is that it folds flat for mailing!

Cascading Card

Cascading Card
Hi friends sharing another  Pop Up Card in a cascading design similar to the Snowflake Cascading card I had shared earlier. This time I modified the snowflakes by chopping off bits and added a snowglobe. This special card is  my DT project for the Rudolph Days Challenge .
Cascading Card
I created the design on the snowglobe die cut by stamping and heat embossing snowflakes and falling stars and inking with Distress Inks  . Added a pair of die cut deer and poinsettias and finished off by adding  " XMAS 2018"
Snowglobe Card
I am in love with the teal blue and the dangling hearts! In the side view below you can see the cascade and the best thing about this card design is it folds flat for mailing!

Cascading Pop Up Card

Cascading Snowflakes Card
Hi friends...sharing a special 3 D Interactive Pop Up Card....in a Cascading design! Cascading cards used to be very popular at one time and though they look very complicated they are actually wonderful cards to make when you want that to make an extra special card! The design is just a fusion between accordions and slots.
Cascading Snowflakes Card
Here is the Tutorial link : Cascading Card Tutorial  . I made the base using my original Tutorial and  then used the border die from Crealies Snowglobe set to cut a wavy border on the top part to create a snowy landscape for the snowflakes.
The die cut snowflakes are made to pop up and swing by mounting them on acetate sheets and attaching them to the card base Finished off the card with a trio of poinsettias!
This Winter/Christmas Celebration card opens out to display and can fold flat for mailing or storage.

3 D Snowglobe Card

3 D Snowglobe Card
Hi friends...I love making 3 dimensional cards and  when I saw the  new Snowglobe die from Crealies I just had to experiment creating a new Pop Up Card design.
3 D Snowglobe Card
It is a freestanding 3 D Pop Up Card  with deer on a snowy landscape and snowflakes galore. Acetate on each layer helps to make the snowflakes literally fall in free air!
3 D Snowglobe Card
Added a pop of colour using the  poinsettia  coloured with Distress Inks  and jazzed up with Dress My Craft Sparkling dust.
3 D Snowglobe Card
The snowglobe has 4 layers joined by tabs inside which allow it to be folded flat for mailing and storage.
3 D Snowglobe Card
It is a rather special card which you can also use as a festive decoration!

I hope you liked this idea.
